Purpose of Role
To provide cover in the houses and workshops whilst permanent staff on leave. Assist in the day to day running of the house whilst providing a high standard of care to residents with additional support needs (shift work).
About the Role
We are recruiting for Full-Time Support Workers, working 37.5 hours a week across a variety of shifts. Part-time positions also available.
Administer high quality and person-centred care to adults with a variety of learning disabilities ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
Personal care, including assisting in washing, dressing, undressing, using the toilet, changing sanitary products, bathing and so on.
Cooking and serving meals to residents, assisting with feeding where necessary.
Assist with daily activities according to the wishes and needs of the resident, including transporting and accompanying them to health appointments.
Provide care for residents on outings and holidays on a one to one or group basis
Respond appropriately to emergencies
Cleaning and tidying duties and domestic duties
Count and administer medication and contributing to strict record keeping
Contributes towards assessments, care plans and attends resident reviews when required.
Supporting Workshop Leaders where required with care of residents and clearing and cleaning following activities.
Works towards achieving SVQ3 in line with SSSC qualification and registration requirements
Requirements
Disability/Care: 1 Year Experience (preferred)
Driving Licence (preferred)
